Where sleek design meets raw nature:
A natural timber, stone and slate dwelling grounded in place yet open to the horizon - featuring vertical Accoya timber cladding, fine light-framed glazing and courtyard spaces that lead to the surrounding landscape. Reed beds and native planting soften the geometry, blending texture, light, and shadow into something quietly powerful.

Chris started his career in quantity surveying. Very quickly he became interested in the world of design and transitioned to architecture. With considerable experience spanning over 25 years in the construction industry, Chris formed House of Grandeur to develop his own personal style.
The aim is to deliver excellence through an innovative design service with the objective of creating beautiful timeless aesthetics, meaningful and functional spaces that improve the quality of life for people at home and work.
Our approach is collaborative, not only with the client, but with like-minded people that want to deliver exceptional design solutions. Each project is unique and we strive to exceed expectations that reflect the true nature of the client’s needs and desires.
The studio works across all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work, from initial brief to handover, and everything in-between.
