Do architects design what they want?

The vast majority of us have seen Grand Designs. It’s true architects are trained to think outside the box. However, what’s key to a good architect is that no matter their personal vision, it’s anchored by listening to a client’s needs. They translate what they hear into purposeful energy efficient design which maximises budget and meets those all important regulations. Personal ego shouldn’t get in the way.
My objective is to make exceptional design available to everyone no matter their budget. I approach all projects with curiosity and learn as much as I can from my clients. Collaboration is at the centre of the design process.
